Great Way To Tell Someone...

If you want to tell someone if they were/weren't selected for a position that they interviewed for, how f*'d up is it that they would POST IT ONLINE FOR YOU TO FIND OUT?!?

Morons.

Yup, that's right, if you remember, I interviewed with CT Light & Power aka Northeast Utilities about a week ago. Since I applied online, I looked up my application as I've been doing daily since I interviewed. The status changed with each stage I was in, from "testing" to "interviewing" to "not selected." Just now, tonight, it changed to "not selected."

In case you've had too many shots tonight, or I wasn't clear enough, they are NOT offering me the position. Ass-logs.

Ah well. I've never interviewed and not gotten a job offer from it, but I'm not really disappointed. I guess. I know I interviewed damn well and made a great impression. I think what may have done me in was the specific hours I needed, and the fact that I wouldn't have been able to go in during the day even if I was on call.

I'm not sure how much I wanted the position anyway. What pisses me off is that they didn't bother to call me. They posted it online to my "account" for me to have to go searching. If they had offered it, would they have called? Or relied on the almighty ONLINE FACTOR to inform someone they're getting the job?

Can I say GAHHHHH! At least the wait is over.

Is it me, or do companies get more and more effing RETARDED regarding this stuff? When did it become too hard for companies to extend the same courtesy they extended you and just CALL you and tell you whether or not you got the job? Judging by that kind of practice, it's one of those things where in retrospect you can say that it's probably a good thing you didn't get the job.
