Icy Day

Today we were supposed to go to SIL's house for a turkey dinner slash birthday party for a different SIL. I even made a chocolate mayonnaise cake with my special buttercream icing for this party, but Mother Nature decided to be a bitch and crapped white junk all over the state during the night and throughout the morning. It was too icy and snowy and windy, not to mention it was a high of 19º all day! Right now (8:30 pm) it's 10º!!! So I have a gourmet cake in my fridge fit to feed a party, all for a little family of 4 plus a baby girl hee hee. WTH am I going to do with all that cake? I wonder if I can freeze it?

Anneliese seems to be extra snuggly today. I think she's teething, but she's not complaining. She's just been sort of blah today, and not really "happy or sad." I have days like that too, maybe it's just a blah day for her.

Right now Juliana is just chattering in the background and she talks so much sometimes I actually can't hear the words. Does that make sense? It's a bit of an overload I guess. I feel bad but it happens when I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed, especially if the girls have all been fighting. I should be happy that she's so wordy... there's a saying that at 5yrs old you can't get them to stop talking. At 15 yrs old you can't get them to start talking. Poor Anneliese, Manny is trying to lay down and just snuggle with her but she's whimpering. I'd better go rescue them.
