Actually, it's more about our insurance company. I called our medical insurance before they closed, and the lady I spoke with was so helpful and double-checked everything for me.
Long story short: The mammogram I have scheduled for Saturday (pre-op reasons) will be 100% covered even though I'm under 40 yrs old. As long as my doctor provides the documents that we already have and the ones that are on the way to him, as well as the photos he took, as proof that the surgery is medically necessary, the surgery will be 100% covered. Now it's just going to be about waiting for the submission, and hoping the insurance doesn't take too long to accept the claim. It HAS to be done before January.
