Can People ACTUALLY Spit Nails?

I am so pissed off right now that I'm eerily calm. I didn't even lay into The Husband for this, although I really wanted to.

I just updated a slideshow I made of "us" and the girls, and there's a stock photo in it of wedding rings. It's just really supposed to be a place holder because I wanted to take a picture of our own wedding rings to add to the slideshow.

Maybe you've already guessed it, but when I asked him for his ring for a minute so that I could take the photo, this is what followed:

"Um, actually I don't know where it is right now."

"What does that mean?"

"It means that, um, I sort of lost it."

"WHAT? When did this happen?"

"Um, sometime during the winter. It just fell off."

"WHAT? Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"I didn't want you to get mad."

"You didn't want me to get mad. So you kept it a secret for me to find out like this. Guess what, I'm mad. So where do you think you lost it?"

"It could have been shoveling snow in the driveway or in the yard mowing."

"Mowing in the winter? Dude, seriously."

"I'm sure I'll find it. Eventually."

Watch me walk away seething.

This is the SECOND TIME he's lost his ring. The first time was our first summer after our wedding. He lost it at the beach when he went in the water. We replaced it, sized it down, and had it blessed for marriage to replace the ring he lost. I'm so pissed I can barely see straight, and not because he lost the ring, but because he kept it a secret.

Aaaw, don't be too mad. He kept it a secret because he didn't want you to get mad.

At least he lost it shoveling snow, and not down some stripper's underthings.
