31 WAYS TO PRAY FOR OUR MILITARY
When we think of our fellow Americans serving in the military, and the
sacrifices and demands that their job places upon them and their families, we
are in deep gratitude. Whether they are serving in our homeland, or overseas,
their task is a great one. We have been called upon to pray for them during
these desperate days. In an effort to pray more consistently and effectively
this list has been compiled. There is one prayer focus and related verse for 31
days.As long as our military is in harm's way, let us be faithful prayer
warriors on behalf of our fellow citizens who have committed themselves to
defending America.
1. Protection - Psalm 32:7Psalms 32:7 Thou art my hiding place; thou
shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of
deliverance. Selah
2. Wisdom - James 1:5James1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of
God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given
him.
3. Peace - John 14:27, Philippians 4:7John14:27 Peace I leave with you, my
peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your
heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.Philippians 4:7 And the peace of
God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through
Christ Jesus.
4. Presence of God - Psalm 46:1Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble
5. Inner Strength - Ephesians 3:16Ephesians 3:16 That he would grant you,
according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his
Spirit in the inner man;

Lord give thee understanding in all things.

me under the shadow of thy wings,

things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
9. Courage - Joshua 1:9Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and
of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God
is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
10. To Help Others - Philippians 2:3-4Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done

19. Patience while waiting - Psalm 33:20Psalms 33:20 Our soul waiteth for

temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
23. Discernment - Philippians 1:9Philippians 1:9 And this I pray, that your
love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
