FINALLY! I just got the phone call from one of the specialists at the Early Childhood Learning Center for Grace. A few weeks ago, I blogged about when I asked them to evaluate Grace during preschool because of some of the concerns we have about her. I thought they might visit her in her preschool class, but they'll actually be watching her in one of the special preschool classes they have. I take her in Friday morning. If she doesn't "perform" because she decides to act shy, then we'll end up doing something else. They'll be working with her one-on-one as well and see how she deals with adults as well as in a group-of-children situation. They seem to think that 45-60 minutes will be enough to get enough information to evaluate her.
I'm really relieved that we're finally moving along with this, but now I'm a bit nervous too.
